Opening Hours:

  • The Nature Reserve is open year-round for walking - we regret - no dogs

Directions

  • Walking (50 mins) or by Car (6 mins):
     

    • From Conwy town centre, take the Bangor Road passing the Station

    • Turn left onto Upper Gate Street and through the arch or turn left up Mount Pleasant

    • ​Turn right onto Sychnant Pass Road for 1.9 miles; following signs for Sychnant Pass

    • Get Directions on Google Maps

  • By Public Transport:

    • To Conwy by train or bus services

    • From Conwy Lancaster Square cab rank
      take a taxi to Pensychnant​

  • Cycling and Walking :​

    • ​Same as car route
    • Walking Directions on Google Maps

    • Pensychnant is also accessible via numerous
      footpaths and cycling tracks

    • Please be aware some sections are quite steep​​

  • Birdwatching: Pensychnant is a haven for birdlife. Bring your binoculars!

  • Conservation Centre: Learn about our conservation efforts and the local wildlife

  • Peace and Quiet: Escape the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature

 

Facilities:

  • Visitor parking is a little limited on site - there is a public car park 15 mins easy walk away

  • Toilets

  • Information displays

  • Hot drinks & cakes are available most weekends and Bank Holidays April to September, but please check our Events Page for confirmation
     

Accessibility:

  • Please be aware you may find some paths uneven and steep

  • Contact us in advance for accessibility information - contact details at the bottom of the page
     

Planning Your Visit:

  • Wear appropriate footwear and clothing for outdoor activities

  • Don't forget your binoculars and camera to see and record the stunning scenery and wildlife

  • Check the weather forecast before you visit
